SAFETY & POLICY RULES

Acceptable Use Policy

Guidelines for safe and authorized use of our redirection tools.

1. Purpose of this Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) describes the rules and boundaries for using the link shortening and preview customization tools at URLzio. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy against digital abuse to ensure our links remain trusted and safe globally.

2. Strictly Prohibited Link Targets

You may **not** generate shortened URLs that point to, redirect to, or represent any of the following categories of content:

Prohibited Activities & Payloads

  • Phishing & Social Engineering: Pages designed to steal credentials, credit card details, or personal data by mimicking trusted brands.
  • Malware & Exploit Kits: Redirects leading to direct file downloads of viruses, keyloggers, trojans, ransomware, or device exploits.
  • Spam & Deception: Bulk SMS campaigns, unsolicited spam emails, deceptive "get rich quick" schemes, or forced redirect loops.
  • Copyright Piracy: Torrent trackers, direct download portals for cracked software, or unauthorized streams of copyrighted media.
  • Illegal Products/Services: Sites selling illegal substances, unlicensed weapons, counterfeit goods, or dangerous items.
  • Hate & Harassment: Pages inciting violence, promotion of hate groups, or malicious targeted harassment campaigns.

3. Forbidden Automated Behaviors

In addition to link target rules, you must not abuse the system's infrastructure. Prohibited actions include:

  • Attempting to bypass API limits using multiple tokens or proxy networks.
  • Automated scraping of analytics reports or user credentials.
  • Creating accounts in bulk using disposable or temporary email patterns.
  • Exploiting social media preview generation tools to cache fake og:images dynamically.

4. Policy Enforcement

If we detect or receive reports that a link violates this policy, we take immediate enforcement action, which may include:

  1. Immediate Link Deletion: Removing the link from routing directories (displays a blocked link error).
  2. Account Suspension: Temporary or permanent ban of the user account and forfeiture of any accumulated ad-watch balance.
  3. IP & Domain Blacklisting: Blocking the creator's IP address and blacklisting the target destination domain from ever being shortened again.
  4. Legal Cooperation: Reporting severe threats (like malware distribution, credit card theft, and child endangerment) to appropriate cyber-safety agencies and law enforcement.
